Hello,

I recommend either of these two books as they cover beginning material
plus continue on to cover more intermediate things as well - unlike many
books which seem to have a limited view of what a person needs to know to
get full enjoyment out of Linux;)

'A Practical Guide To Linux' - Sobell (forwards by Linus Torvalds)
'Running Linux 3rd Edition' - Welsh

I am sure there are others. These are just two that I have looked over
and recommended many times before and the response has always been great.

Cheers!

Eric (american who wishes he was in Cork;)
