[CLUG] Internet conection with Linux

HELP!

Can someone tellme in plian English how on earth I connectup to the
internet?
I have installed Red Hat 6.1, and I have a 3Com  external modem. the modem
is working and I have managed to get it to dialout to the Eircom.net server,
BUT! I can not get Netscape to work.

I would be very gratefull if someone could help, as I have been trying for
the last two days to get it to work.
