[CLUG] install-isp

This came up last night at the CLUG meeting in the Metropole.
A few ideas were thrown around and it seems like an easyish job to write
a script that'll setup your machine to dial your favourite ISP.
Basically, all you have to do is ask the user what ISP they want to use,
then if they need a username/pw ask them for that and then setup
networking and device pppX on their machine.
It would be most useful to use the distributions' own networking tools
to configure it, or perhaps setup kppp to do the job. As a fallback the
basics should be used as explained in some howto (I use netcfg..
slackware was the last time I did it by hand!)
Of course, must have the ability to add new ISP settings, and maybe dial
up initially using a known local free ISP to get setting for your
prefered ISP, no matter where you are in the world.. (need a bit of help
for that)

Anybody willing to take it on? fame and glory await the author! *grin*

Donncha.
