Won't be able to make it tonight, but next week I will have a few copies
of Mandrake 7.2 with me.

Mandrake have done a lot of work with this beauty. I managed to get
ip-masquerading running by clicking two buttons! It is missing sndconfig
which sucks, and I haven't got any sound *yet*
urpmi is nicely handled. It makes rpm act like Debian packages. The
program looks to your CD or an ftp site for dependencies when installing
RPMs.

KDE2.0 is very nice, although it core dumps every time I exit for some
reason (no big deal so far). Koffice is there, but I haven't had a
chance to put it through its paces yet. When using kmail, make sure you
enable the KDE2 features. You'll be very pleasantly surprised!

Lots of Gnome stuff, but I haven't looked at that properly yet.

My install-sendmail script doesn't work, even after installing the
sendmail-cf rpm off ftp.esat.net, but as Lars is sure to tell you,
Postfix is easy to get working(he'd be right too!)

Anyway, mail me at donncha at linux.ie with a subject of "I want Mandrake
7.2" and I'll burn an appropriate number of CDs and bring them to the
Metropole next week. Just remember to bring a blank CD to swap..

I'll give it a week and then I'll be back to xterms and Window Maker
again.. ;)

Donncha.
