I never said I didn't admire the guy. Well, actually I don't, but he talks a
lot of sense about some topics, and I agree with him on those things. And
then sometimes he talks complete rubbish, and has his little tantrums and
makes a complete fool of himself. Of course, making a fool out of yourself
is something everybody is entitled to do, whether intentionally or by
accident - I do it regulary, in both categories - but it does tend to lose
you a little, or a lot of  credibility. RMS loses credibility with me when
he tells people what to do, and has his tantrums. He looks like a
hippy-commie-radical when he does that. Most people he meets are intelligent
enough to make their own decisions, and if they're not, that's their loss,
and RMS should just move on. And ESR loses all credibility - with me - when
he start talking about firearms. Of course, they're both just sticking to
their guns - fnaar - as you say, and that's their right. I just think they'd
get even more respect if they toned down some of the crap. But of course, if
they did that, they'd probably lose some of the sensationlism. I guess it's
a fine line.
