[CLUG] Odd boot failure on new install of RH6.2

But from what I can tell, Peter's colleage did a new install after the
resizing stuff, not before. I've done Debian installs on boxes that have
had space created with Partition Magic with no issues.
The below seems to refer to an existing system, and the issue is caused by
the way LILO ignores ext2 and maps the files' blocks directly. A re-run of
/sbin/lilo will fix that. If you delete or add partitions, your /etc/fstab
will require adjustment, as well as parameters passed to md, and so on. It
gets messy.
If you want a bootloader that can cope with some of this stuff, check out
GRUB. It can read ext2, and so partition resizing/defragmentation will not
affect it. Renaming will, obviously.
