pfff. slackware 9.0 was released yesterday! nya nya!

i've had so much trouble with my redhat boxes. and more recently with the rhn.
it seems that slackware does not always package the latest versions, but hangs
onto something with proven reliability. The early version 3 releases of GCC
were _so_ broken. why oh why did redhat package them.

i've yet to find a major problem in any of my slackware distros, so i'll be
changing over my college server as soon as i get the chance. a way
underestimated distro imo.
