I'm using a dual-boot Ubuntu Hoary Hedgehog on this desktop even as
I'm typing. I got totally fed up of viruses and virus checkers and
have been using this dual boot system (5 gig for Ubuntu and about 55
for Windows) since. I use Windows for multimedia as I've found Ubuntu
slow for USB2 etc and I do loads of photography and sound stuff and
Linux lags behind at that. Ubuntu has hardly ever hung, if ever and it
does work well at ordinary stuff.
