in order is whatever mail it recevied first it should transmit first when
it gets through to it's next relay,

i.e. I have a mail server here in my lab, it always forwards mail to the
UL master host which does some name translation, the UL master host is a
dodgy piece of sh1t, it falls over a lot, 

Today was the worst day I've had in a while with it, and I had mails
queued from about 10ish this morning until 5ish, when the server came back
up for a few mins, sendmail always send the latest mails to it i.e. the
last few to come in, why didn't it get rid of the one from 10 o'clock
first?

so in order is in time it got the mail order,
