[ILUG] Graphics card choice

Agreed with the waiting/price-dropping thing, disagree on the card
choice :-)

The drivers for the Voodoo series are much more mature than the
ones for the TNT, both on Linux and Windows 9x.

Nope... the Voodoo 2 SLI will beat any of the Voodoo 3 cards except the
most powerful (V3 3000) which isn't even out yet, and even then it's a
fairly thin margin. If you're buying a *new* 3D card, then you should
certainly consider the V3's, but speaking as someone who has a V2 SLI
rig,
neither the TNT2 nor the V3 are getting any of my cash :-)

P.S. One major advantage of the newer models, of course, is that they're
     all combo 2D/3D and most of them are AGP, meaning that you don't
need
     3 PCI slots for graphics cards, which is admittedly a royal pain in
     the ass :-/
