Because hda1 is my Linux root partition :) I've been an exclusively Linux
user for a couple of years, and I would like to keep the Linux bits as
they are. I wasn't aware that Win95 will only install on hda (a feature,
not a bug?), but I will try swapping master and slave about (would it
be wise to make a boot disk with root=/dev/hdb1, and change
(temporarily) fstab to mount stuff in the right places?)

Once I've got windows installed finally, will there be a problem when I
swap the disks again and just give lilo hdb4 as the location of windows?
Or will it have a problem seeing C: on hdb4? My gut tells me no, but I'd
like reassurance :)

For those interested, I've just moved in with my girlfriend, who I'm
training in the art of Linux, but she wants windows and Lotus Smartsuite
on the computer too.

Thanks for all the help, and sorry for the long delay in getting back to
the list. It's been a while since I read my e-mail.

Cheers,
Dave.
