OK. That's wierd..
Try an telnet to the IMAP server, and type:
1 login username passwd
2 select inbox
3 fetch 1:10 (FLAGS RFC822.HEADER.LINES (DATE FROM))
It should tell you who it thinks sent the mails from 1 to 10 in the inbox.
That's what it should display in the From: field of the mail client. If the
client display's differently, it's a bit crap. If the mail server isn't
sending out RFC822 headers properly, it's a bit crap.
