Whoah. Sorta like my IDE cables on the Amiga 1200. I burned
them. Twice. I connected a 2.5"->3.5" adapter, some cable and
a decent powersupply. When I turned it all on, it caught fire.
Immediately. With thick, black smoke emanating from the part
where the cable folded onto itself. I couldn't see any defects
with the cable, but I never check when I pull them out of the
bag just before using them :/

(Do cables *have* magic smoke?)

A friend of mine also had a cpu go 'voom', without ten million
volts going through it. He was just testing a 486DX2, and the
case was open, stripped of any additional components. Then
there was a loud bang, and all was silent.

P.S.:Anyone know what the "40.000MHz"-thingy on a Fast SCSI
card does? I need another one.

O- nny, collector of faulty hardware
