Hmm.  Distribution war alert!

I'd like to point (again) to the advantages of the Debian distribution.
It offers the same platforms as RH, it's even more GPL-oriented than RH,
and once you're used to it, you'll come to see that the debian package
manager is *vastly* superior to RPM.  The automatic updates are a real
blessing...

Debian's also easier to tweak, when things need tweakin'

I'm not necessarily recommending that anyone change distributions, but
if anyone's setting up a new Linux system, and if they have a modicum of
clue and interest in what's going on under the hood, give Debian a
whirl.

See this month's LJ for more comparisons...  there's also a poll on (I
think) ZDnet somewhere in which Debian came out tops...
