[ILUG] RH 6.1 upgrade

Just finished installing RH6.1... 'twas a nightmare :|

I tried upgrading my machine which originally ran RH 5.2 that was
upgraded to RH 6.0 to 6.1 and the install seemed to run nicely. The GUI
install looked great and everything just zipped along!

Then I decided to go for a walk and came back to find the install stuck
and a Gtk error on the first terminal. :(

To cut a long story short, I had to reinstall several times, ending up
by formating my partition and doing a completely clean install. I backed
up everything first though! 

The only apps I use locally anyway are Netscape, X, Window Maker, telnet
and vi mostly so no loss in installed stuff.
Very annoying though :|
