could someone explain this?  in the main http://www.linux.ie/ page
(as well as the others i think) there's this body tag:

<BODY TEXT="#000000" BGCOLOR="#C0C0DE" LINK="#0000EE" VLINK="#551A8B"
ALINK="#FF0000" topmargin="0" leftmargin="0"
background="http://www.linux.ie/linback.jpg">

why is that background attribute there?  http://www.linux.ie/linback.jpg
is a single (?) pixel image of the color #bfbee0 - why not just set
the bgcolor attribute to that?

in practice it makes netscape do this weird trace type thing and i doubt
it efficiently stores this information.
