just did the same and got:

[paul at fogarty paul]$ /usr/local/netscape/netscape-dynMotif 
/usr/local/netscape/netscape-dynMotif: error in loading shared
libraries: /usr/X11R6/lib/libXm.so.1: undefined
symbol: xmFormClassRec

ldd shows that it can find libXm. which netscape are you
using?
