hello all,
I've converted to mutt a few days ago. Takes a while to get the hang of (cause there's a lot there) but seems *very* flexible and I like it.
(btw, if word-wrapping is set up badly, apologies in advance and I'll fix it for next time, but it should be ok :)
Anyway, my questions:
1) Mutt is renowned for it's adherence to RFC's and correct handling of MIME types, however I can't seem to receive pound symbols (iso-5589-1 char 163 (decimal) even if a valid Content-Type: header is present. FWIW, I've explicitly included "set charset="iso-8859-1"" in ~/.muttrc but it did nothing and there's nothing text related in /usr/etc/mailcap .
2) How does one print a pound sign in emacs (when started with the -nw flag) Note: .emacs doesn't exist so there's nothing in that.
3) How do you use fadas (as in Irish) in emacs/mutt ? (related to above I'm sure)
4) Where is first "From " header generated (with no colon following). (Is it just part of the mbox format and generated on receipt at final destination?) I've browsed RFC 822 and found nothing which leads me to guess that it's part of mbox)
TIA,
Alan.
