*wearing the webmaster hat for a few minutes*
There are a few ways we could do this.
Depending on the amount of entries that Maeve sends:
1/ a 'job' page could be updated manually
2/ we could set up a database driven page where the entries are
   selectively imported
3/ Go one step further and set up a submission page where anyone
could add an entry to the database, and an 'authorise' page
that would give the ILUG/webmaster team some level of control to
prevent bogus/flame inducing entries being listed
*removes hat*

Ideas, suggestions please!

#No, this isn't Larry Gogan on 2FM ;)
#
#I just got off the phone with Maeve Hart at Harry Walsh Associates Ltd
#who are "Technical & Executive Recruiters" here in Cork. She would like
#to make the people who frequent the *.linux.ie sites more aware of jobs
#on offer in the Unix/related markets.
#It became obvious that mailing the list with job offers would
#be a no-no
#as they specialise in matching particular people to particular jobs.
#Then again, maybe it's not a no-no?
#
#My first thought would be to have a jobs link on www.linux.ie and/or
#cork.linux.ie with a sample of jobs available and some contact email
#address for the recruitment agency. She offered to send a
#sample every 2
#weeks to someone who could maintain the page. If we go down this route
#we should list all the other recruitment agencies as well and/or have a
#strong disclaimer, "let the buyer beware" or similar. In this kind of
#situation (as with everything), we can't go looking for agencies.
#They'll have to come to us for inclusion.
#
#ideas? objections?

#Donncha.
