lilo -U should uninstall lilo from the mbr, leaving the NT loader.

 Guys,

A quick lilo question. I had NT running on my laptop and just installed Red
Hat 6.1 last night. I usually choose the custom setup but last night I just
installed the KDE workstation. However, it didn't ask me where I wanted to
put LILO and it put it in the MBR. Now, when I power on the system it boots
through lilo rather than through the NT boot loader. I have changed the
lilo.conf so that I can boot the NT partition but I would rather use the NT
loader. CAn anybody tell me if it is possible to move lilo once it has been
installed. Or even if I can remove it without affecting the NT loader.

I had linux installed on this machine before and had already configured the
NT boot.ini file so that I could boot linux - this still works. ( i.e. if I
choose nt at the lilo prompt it brings me the NT load screen - I have an
option for linux here. if i choose the linux option, linux will boot )
