You can check what's in use by ipcs
remove it by ipcrm and getting the max Im not so sure about....

 I'm having some wierd "resource not availible" errors over the last
while, and I think it's got to do with shared memory. I'm running 2.2.17,
so it's not a wierd ass shm filesystem thing.

 Anyway. How do I check what shared memory is in use, and what's the max ?

crom:/proc# cat /proc/sys/kernel/shmall
4194304
crom:/proc# cat /proc/sys/kernel/shmmax
33554432

 That looks good. But everthing from shells to IMLIB are giving out about
not having enough.
