interesting doc. one for the bookmarks. but it shows exactly why 15
/is/ broken. their family numbering goes 3, 4, 5, 6, /f/!

conforming to what? extended cpuid? maybe, but within that their use
of family is still broken by their historical scheme. The cpuid might
now be more conformant to what other x86 vendors do, but that jump
from 6 to f within cpuid is still a bit strange. no?

(anyway.. 'tis not a hugely important detail)
