Perhaps - a good packaged system should be able to deal with what's
compatible with what, as long as you live in a package world and are
willing to live with running the last package rather than your own compile
or a nightly build...

But gcc3 should solve part of the problem, and by Mozilla 1.0, the
interfaces should be well-defined, so I don't think it'll be a problem for
ever.
