 well, there's another file just like this one called refcard.tex.  i managed
to find refcard.ps with ftpsearch.lycos.com, and it has 3 columns, but on a
landscape-oriented page.  they fit fine.

 i think the columns will fit if i can just get TeX to make a dvi with
landscape pages.
