 at the risk of sounding like a total asshole..

 couldn't you just tell eircell all this?  i know for a fact there's a ready
to go helpline with a cheap phone number.  i doubt anybody on this list
really cares about ready to go sms (or technical support of same), but i can
only speak for myself.
