For depth, with nice Howto's: "Linux, The Complete Version" (Was
published by http://www.lsl.com , May be 2 volumes now!)
For brevity: "Discover Linux", by Steve Qualline (IDG Books)
A *lot* more every day now ... also the Linux Journal magazine, if you
really want to get into Linux other than LUGs/Usenet, etc.
