Maybe - it's going to depend on your adapters, and OS drivers. I used
to plug & unplug zip drives & tape drives from Sun workstations
without ill effects, once I did drvconfig;disks; etc. etc. However,
these devices were always being connected to an SBus SCSI card, i.e.
a different SCSI bus from ther internal disks. As always, if in doubt,
don't try it on your production machine 8).
