[ILUG] Booting linux-2.4.0-test5

I keep getting this error msg when I boot my new kernel.

You didn't specify the type of your ufs filesystem

Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 03:06

Any taker's, Yes I do have IDE support compiled in, and ext2 fs, and I
have root=/dev/hda5 in lilo,

I can boot with 2.2.16 no prob and I have booted 2.3.99 kernel's as well.

I'm  running mandrake 7.
