[ILUG] Problem mounting NT partition (hpfs)

Hi,

I am unable to mount an NT partition from Linux on a dual boot
Linux-NT machine.

I can do it on my own PC which is Linux-Win98 as
	mount -t vfat /dev/hda1 /windows

but when I try it on the dual boot Linux-NT machine
	mount -t hpfs /dev/hda1 /winnt
it gives me the error
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hda1 
or too many file systems

I have checked in NT that the fs type is hpfs.

I am running RH 6.0 and NT 4.

Any suggestions, please?
