Well I got home last night and after about 5-10 mins wondering and looking
in /dev, I remembered good old pty/tty pairs, these do exactly what I
want, and no need to change anything in the apps, so I now have mgetty and
minicom working with user space serial transport... woohoo :-)... gotta
love Linux, I'd hate to think how long that could take under W2k or
below..
