[ILUG] Printer Probs...

I'm having some trouble using my printer. Everything seems fine, i.e. Linux detects my printer at startup:

parport0: PC-style at 0x378 irq 7, dma 3 [SPP,ECP,ECPEPP,ECPPs2]
parport0: Printer, Lexmark              Lexmark 2030 colour Jetprinter

:
lp0: Using parport0 (interrupt-driven).

The correct device file exists, if I use tunelp it correctly determines the status of the printer, i.e. on-line/off-line. But I cannot print anything, even if I use "cat blah.file > /dev/lp0" nothing happens?! I know the printer is a "winprinter" but surely something should happen if I use cat...

Any ideas?
