Hi all,
Sorry to bother you all with my woes once more, but fetchmail seems to
have stopped fetching mail (at least, as I've been using it).
I added this line to the bottom of /etc/rc.d/rc.local:
fetchmail -d 180 -M ppp0 -m '/usr/bin/procmail -d %T' -f
/root/.fetchmailrc >> /var/log/fetchmail 2>&1
I also tried putting a -v option in there to see what was happenning, but
once I log in and connect to my ISP, I wait for a while,m then a longer
while, and nothing happens. Mail is sent fine, but it isn't received. The
last few days I've had to resort to logging in as root, killing the
resident fetchmail process and running fetchmail manually, which is a bit
of a pain.
The relevant few lines from /var/log/messages are
=======================
Mar 21 19:50:58 localhost WvDial: Carrier detected. Starting PPP
immediately.
Mar 21 19:50:58 localhost pppd[872]: Serial connection established.
Mar 21 19:50:58 localhost pppd[872]: Using interface ppp0
Mar 21 19:50:58 localhost pppd[872]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/ttyS0
=======================
...which looks OK to me. But fetchmail fails to fetch, even when manually
awakened. The only things I can think of are that the -M isn't being
picked up (I've also tried ppp1, since the ISP in question uses
ifcfp-ppp1), and there's been no change. I've also tries -I
ppp0/159.134.229.0/255.255.255.0, but no change.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Dave.
