[ILUG] MX record question

Sort of related. Someone who tried my install-sendmail script wants to
have mail delivered via fetchmail to his gateway machine (gate1) which
is easy enough and that's working. Thing is, he'd like to have the
gateway spit out the email to different workstations. More of a push
than your normal pull method (ie fetchmail on the clients). He wants
SMTP talking to SMTP server directly.
Mail comes in addressed to user at host.domain and he'd like the email to
go to the correct host on his LAN.
I suggested MX records (not knowing how to set them up mind you, but I
digress..), but I haven't heard from him if that works or not. I also
suggested that polling the mail server every 30 seconds or so would be
the easiest way of getting mail to the workstations..

Anyone done the above?

Donncha.
