[ILUG] reinstalling windows!

Eh ? When did they change that

Windows writes to the MBR and sets its own partition as active, if LILO is
in the MBR it gets overwritten by a Windows / Dos install (MSDOS 3.x ->
WinNT4.x)
If LILO is on the Linux Partition's boot record, THEN LILO won't be
overwritten, but you must *manually* set the Windows partition as active
*before* installing DOS / Windows, and return to having the LILO partition
active after the install is complete.
