[ILUG] token ring PCMICA cards for Linux

Hello:

Would anyone have a recommendation as to a token ring PCMICA card that would perform well under both Win & Linux? My cousin is starting university at a school near IBM headquarters in NY. All gear on campus is new and state of the art, but as IBM donated most of it, it's a token ring environment. Most of these cards seem to run approx $300 U.S. Would like to find a less expensive alternative if possible for the obvious reasons. And if I have to pay $300 I will but must ensure it works under linux.
