A fudgie is a gadget, a doo-dah, a thingy, a wotsit. VMware is a fudgie, as are
the wotsits you see when you travel down Tottenham Court Road in London
(drooling), and pretty much anything cool you see on the shopping channels
(until you open the box and find it's made of the cheapest materials in the
world, and breaks when you pick it up). I, therefore, am a fudgieholic.

A fudgieholic can be recognised primarily by the number of cellphones on his
desk*. If there's more than one, it's a borderline case. More than two, you've
got a fudgieholic on your hands. The smaller the phones, the farther down the
path to fudgieholism the person has progressed. And if one of them is a Nokia 9
series, or connected to a palmtop, or there's a 3Com Palm on the desk, it's
chronic fudgieholism, and incurable.

Give me a little black box with an LED, and a dinky little switch, and you won't
hear a word out of me for several hours. Fudgies are my blankie.
