As I pointed out, the vendor doesn't seem to supply those, and I can see why.

I don't recall my question mentioning Linus' kernels specifically. Oh no -
it's happened - Linux is forking !

I do, generally. It was just that a thought had occured to me. Someone else
pointed out that the question had come up on the kernel sources, and had
been shot down in flames, not entirely to my surprise.

Piece of piss, if the relevant patch is available, which if may not be for
certain vendors' distributions.
