well, though Sun/SGI computers might just use a st of fixed frequency
modes - the monitor /might/ still be multi-sync capable (esp. if it
les than 5 years old). My Indy's Sony 20" is multi-sync capable.
Eg SGI monitors have been multi-sync capable for quite a few
years. (Sony aren't going to bother stripping out the multi-sync
logic for the Sun/SGI OEM production runs).
so the monitor /might/ be multi-sync capable even though it doesn't
need to be.
course then you run into the sync-on-green problem.
