[ILUG] bttv and sound and PNP BIOS?

I recently asked here what to do about my bttv card reporting INT9 was in use,
which is compiled in for my crystal sound card. I got a reply to change the
BIOS settings for INT9 to legacy ISA. I tried this tonight, and the bttv card
initialised during booting, but then my system hung on SCSI initialisation? it
just kept trying to re-start SCSI bus0 device0 over and over again. When I
changed the BIOS settings back again, it worked fine? What does INT9 have to do
with SCSI? I was looking forward to using my tv card when it initialised, but
what happened with SCSI?

Any ideas?
