[ILUG] RedHat 6.x kickstart %post directive, installing RPMs?

i never ran into this because i wanted my kickstart install system to
create a system that would update itself in the future, so i added a
/etc/rc.d/rc.local that would run a shell script to go check for updated
or additional packages (as well as packages that needed removing).

of course the system never got used so i can't offer advice on how to
use it in practice, but it seems like the best way to work around the
problem and add functionality.  is anyone using kickstart here?
