I'll raise the Konqueror banner here! It's the browser that comes with
KDE2 and boy is it nice! 
If you don't want to run KDE2, then install the kdesupport, kdelibs, and
kdebase packages/compile the sources/whatever and run konqueror from the
command line. I compiled the last two and wondered why konquerer didn't
display gifs or jpgs. You may need the kdesupport package for those.
It supports SSL, javascript, cookies and lots of other funky stuff. My
acid test is to display www.microsoft.com in it, as well as
www.tradesignals.com, both of which display really well!
You can't drag and drop links from one window to another which is a
pain, but not bad considering the fact that closing one window won't
automatically close all the rest (due to a crash..), you can just middle
click the link to open in a new window.
