See what "lspci" tells you about the cards...
PCI should be autodetecting. You should never ever have to worry about
IRQs or DMA. ISA pnp tries to do the same. Under linux, you ask the
"pnpdump" program to spit out an idea of "sane" settings for the cards,
and then you can set them in software. Standard "jumpered" ISA is just a
head wrecker, and you have to go & match the jumpers to your IO and IRQ
lines in /etc/modules.conf
