Too problems some of you may be able to advise me on folks:
1. I am getting the following message on my linux machine after a dirty
shutdown:
INIT id1 respawing too fast disabled for 5 minutes
I have looked at /etc/inittab and cannot see any problem. Does anyone have a
fix for this?
2. Also I have a DLT 8000 I cannot get to work, it sits off a SCSI 2940U2W
which when I do a cat /proc/scsi/scsi is not visable but when the machine
boots and the mothboard finds the SCSI card sees the DLT and assigns an ID.
Here is my /etc/conf.modules
alias eth0 pcnet32
alias scsi_hostadapter ips
alias scsi_hostadapter1 aic7xxx
So I am certain the 2940U2W is installed. Have tried to specifiy /dev/nst0
and /dev/st0 with tar, no luck.
Any help this novice?
