The 2940U2W is installed in /etc/conf.modules but is that the only place it
is :-) ? Some more questions for you:
When you do an lsmod, do you see the module listed ?
Do you have any other SCSI devices ?
Do you see them listed with cat /proc/scsi/scsi ?
Is the SCSI tape module (st) loaded ?
Check all of the above, and if something obvious doesn't jump out and bite
you, post again, including the answers to these questions.
