Hi.

My abode of work, Horizon Open Systems (www.hos.horizon.ie) are currently
looking for a UNIX support engineer or two. Being Sun's sales office in
Ireland, any Solaris skills would be an advantage, but it's not 100%
needed, though it's all you'll be using once you're in here. You'll be well
trained up, etc., if you're intrested in getting into Solaris out here in
EastPoint Business Park, drop me a mail and I'll let you know of more
details...

I'm sure there's official blurbs at
http://www.hos.horizon.ie/careers/techsupport.html

Er, we use Linux on our "JavaStations", they're awful low-spec obselete Sun
hardware which ran "JavaOS". This ends the Linux content to this mail. :)

I haven't really tried building kernels for those things, I don't have the
time. :(

http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/JavaStation-HOWTO/

The Redhat 6.2 kernel boots on them. We might end up using them as
replacements for Sunrays which blow up, etc.

What would be intresting would be to get Linux "Jumpstart" aware. I think it's
been done before...

Brian.
