That entry is already in conf.modules, and does not work see below:

/etc/conf.modules
alias eth0 pcnet32
alias scsi_hostadapter ips
alias scsi_hostadapter1 aic7xxx

S99local:
Modprobe aic7xxx

I think this is because there are 3 other SCSI cards in the linux box.
