This is the problem that alot of the Enlightenment team had with the GPL, as
they wanted to code, and didn't mind what people did with it, as lon as it
added to a useful codebase.
They eventually settled on a BSD - Style License.
It made for a very thought provoking discussion though, as to why should
people be forced to do things with their code, which seemed very sensible
when compared with free speech, as alot of people are keen on pointing out
at the moment.

Subject: [ILUG] RMS: KDE in violation of GPL
Hi all,
[Snip]
I don't see where he's coming from to be honest, to my mind open source
software is reusable by whomever wants to reuse it and in whatever way
he/she/they want to reuse it.
Has RMS finally lost the plot? Or is this his way of "getting his own
back" at KDE for using QT which wasn't originally GPL'd?
Rgds,
Ruairi
