Tell me about it - I just checked the site and person 2 person are listed as
the Irish supplier - a STG£69 ex VAT price turns into an IR£145 ex VAT -
more than double. When I expressed my outrage at this: "well we have to
ship it in and the difference in sterling..." . My reply: "Bull$#!+" .
It's 30cm of cable and probably a CD-ROM, even with a manual and padding,
the whole lot can't come to more than 0.75lbs...

Where do companies - in particular Irish companies - get off in charging and
arbitrary mark up on things like this? Seeing CD's in the US at $9 a pop
being marked up to £15 over here is REALLY starting to make me mad: Celtic
tiger? I think not. More like greed. Plain and simple. Frankly I'm glad
that web commerce is killing retailers: they've been milking us for years.

Anyone know how I can make one of these things myself?

Pete
