[ILUG] Newbie type question

Mornin',
	I have inherited a project from someone who's left
the company. One of the things I found in his hom edirectory are there
two files:

srw-rw-rw-   1 erkki    indev           0 Aug 29 12:24 receiver
srw-rw-rw-   1 erkki    indev           0 Aug 22 15:04 sender

I'm pretty sure that these are domain sockets, but how do I 
recreate them on my own mahcine? Mknod and mkfifo don't seem
to support sockets. Any ideas?

Ps And yes, I am aware that there probably is a very easy answer,
but apropos socket didn't turn up anything likely.
