[ILUG] Sendmail and its cw file

Hello,

I'm sure this question makes blatently clear the fact that I'm a newbie to
Linux administration, but my problem is this: My server hosts a number of
domains. For some of these the MX records point to other computers. But if I
try to send an email from my server to an email address in such a domain,
sendmail looks for a local mailbox. I tried creating an /etc/sendmail.cw
(and even created /etc/mail/sendmail.cw) and leaving the domains out to
avoid this.. but to no avail. It looks like the server insists on trying to
deliver it locally because it is the primary nameserver for the domain? So
how to I find out where my sendmail.cw file is? I actually don't think it
exists. And oh, yes, the sendmail.cf file was created from a sendmail.mc
file which specified:
FEATURE(use_cw_file)dnl

Thanks for any help you can give me on this.

JG
